France, March 18, 1918

Dear Emma; –

Your letter of March 12 enclosing the one from Mrs. Edy to you reached me yesterday afternoon. Miss Edy writes a very good letter and when you answer please give her my kindest regards and thanks for her good wishes as well as those of yourself.

I am write you nothing more than a note to day as the G.O.C. is coming to inspect our unit this afternoon and we have a lot of getting ready to do. It is a surprise inspection and I do not know how we shall come out on it. I shall write you at greater length to-morrow. It is a perfect day out of doors.

Yours with greatest love
Harold W. McGill
